Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By installing or using Mission Alarm ("the App"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. The Service

Mission Alarm is an alarm clock application that requires the completion of a mission to dismiss the alarm. Notifications, sounds and behaviour depend on iOS permissions you grant. Some missions use the camera and send a photo to our vision verification service — see our Privacy Policy for details.

3. Subscriptions, pricing & trials

Mission Alarm is a free download. Full functionality requires an auto-renewing subscription, sold through the Apple App Store:

• Annual subscription: €34.99 per year, with a 3-day free trial for new subscribers.
• Discounted annual subscription: €22.99 per year, with a 3-day free trial. Available as a one-time offer if you decline the standard plan.

Pricing in your local currency is shown on the in-app paywall and is converted by Apple based on App Store Connect's pricing matrix. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on iOS, or in the App's Settings under "Manage Subscription".

If you start a free trial and do not cancel before it ends, you will be charged the full subscription price. We will send you a reminder before the trial ends if you have notifications enabled.

4. Refunds

All payments and refunds are handled by Apple. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com and follow Apple's standard refund process. We are not able to issue refunds directly. EU customers retain any consumer rights granted by applicable law; you waive your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for digital content the moment your subscription begins, in accordance with Apple App Store Terms.

5. No medical or safety guarantee

The App is not a medical device. We make every effort to wake you, but we cannot guarantee delivery of any alarm — iOS may delay or suppress notifications based on system state, Focus mode, Silent mode, low battery or device-level settings. Do not rely on the App for safety-critical wake-ups (medication, flights, surgery, etc.) without a backup.

6. Acceptable Use

You may not reverse engineer, resell, redistribute, or use the App in a way that violates applicable law or Apple's App Store Review Guidelines. You agree not to attempt to bypass the subscription mechanism.

7. Intellectual property

All content, branding, sound files, and code in the App are owned by Mission Alarm or its licensors. Background ringtones are licensed under the Mixkit Sound Effects Free License where applicable.

8. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including missed events, lost income, or harm — caused by a failed, delayed, or incorrectly delivered alarm.

9. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. Cancelling your subscription stops future charges but does not remove access until the current paid period ends.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms as the App evolves. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. Material changes will be flagged in-app where reasonable.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. EU consumers retain any rights granted by their local consumer protection law.
